I ordered my dress from BE in October and loved the experience I had in finding my dress at Bridal Exclusives. I tried on a ton of dresses that the consultant, Lauren, my mom, and I picked out and never felt rushed, even though we stayed after close. Lauren was really sweet and fun to work with, but when I purchased my dress she was going to contact the designer to see if they could change the neckline and I had no follow up phone call or email. Also, I am petite and the dress I chose has lace applique all around the bottom of the dress which will now have to be removed and reattached or I will have to add extra crinoline under the dress....what the consultant didn't tell me is that the dress could have been ordered in a custom length. My dress came in 2 weeks late and I wasn't called when it finally did arrive. Needless to say, after reading the other reviews of their alterations place I will definitely not have them make the changes to my dress. Bridal Exclusives needs to step up their game. I was very disappointed with the quality of service after my initial appointment.

The selection of Gowns was quite extensive, gorgeous and if you go there you won't want to set foot into big box Bridal stores. The prices are what you would expect to pay for designer gowns, so be prepared for that.

The ladies at this shop were really nice and on the ball! I loved how easy they made it to help me find my dress, pick it up, alter it. I also was able to find my shoes at the same shop. The dress designer: Maggie Sottero. LOVED IT! I wish I could wear it over and over again. I got so many compliments on the dress, everyone loved it as much as I do <3

Between Bridal Exclusives and Finishing Touches (alterations connected to them) they were difficult to get a hold of and I wish they had some different hours. It was a far drive for me so it was hard with their odd hours. They measured me and picked the size I needed. I asked them to go one size smaller because I knew I would lose weight. They hesitated but did go one size down... when I received it, I still had to take it in 3 inches on the sides ($300 later). They staff was just "okay" when I tried on my dress. I think they were understaffed and had to help other guests because they left me alone a lot and I just stood in the dresses waiting until they helped me out and into another. Finishing touches staff was very unfriendly and acted too busy for me. Not helpful at all and never smiled. One person helped teach my maid of honor how to lace my dress, otherwise not helpful. And they said I needed to hem my dress ($200+) when I didn't need to at all. They did offer a great discount at a bridal show so I got my dress for much less which was great, but made up for it in alterations so overall my dress was the same price as the tag, with...

If I were rating only the experience of finding my dress, this would be 5s all across. I had an amazing day with my bridal consultant and found a dress that I love. The process she used to narrow in the shape and style elements I liked (and that were flattering to me) was simply amazing. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and walked out with something completely different - and thrilled beyond measure. I had no idea that finding a dress I liked would be possible, let alone enjoyable! After that, it went downhill. The follow up and communication was less than exemplary; the interaction between the shop and their delivery/warehouse/alterations space was really sub-par and if I had known that I'd be "handed off" to from my incredible experience of finding the dress to this frustrating experience of actually picking up the various elements of my order, I may have reconsidered. Ultimately, I chose not to use them for my dress alterations and am glad I did so.

I got the dress of my dreams at the price I wanted! I loved the experience, it was the perfect place and the staff is so nice and flexable, they do what they can to make shopping for your wedding dress the experience it should be.

Bridal Exclusives was the first place I looked for my dress; the dress I found was everything I wanted and more. I went somewhere else for bridesmaid dresses since I could not find any dresses there. They had to reorder my shoes and they did not come in until a week before my wedding; no one was ever able to tell me why they had to be reordered.

Shannon from Bridal Exclusives was a dream to work with. She helped me find my dream Maggie Sottero dress, and was patient through the whole process. My dress came in earlier than expected and was beautiful. Shannon as well as the store is highly recommended in my opinion.

amazing dresses but do not inform you that all dress come in one length(5'7-5'9) and it is at your additional cost to have the dress altered after you waited 6-8 months for your gown :/ I called to explain how disappointing i was to spend an addition $230 after i had bought a $1000 dress. I found a picture of my dress in a magazine and only had a two week gap to order my dress over Christmas (thanks to my mom and the wedding being in Portland and me planning my wedding from Boston). I frantically called almost every store in the Portland area to find somewhere that carried the dress and Bridal Exclusives was the only store that carried it! I tried on other dresses while I was there and I really liked the way they take you through the store to look at the different styles they have. For such a small store I was really impressed by the volume and variety of dresses they had! The only other place I had looked was Kleinfeld's (Yes, that Kleinfeld's), so maybe it is considered a larger store. The only thing that bothered me was the sales lady trying to convince me that I needed to buy a veil with the dress because, in her words, I wouldn't look like a bride without one, after I had told her numerous times that I hated veils and I would be the only one there in the big white dress so I wasn't too worried!

Bridal Exclusives started out wonderful however, as time went on, I felt as if once they made the sale, I was no longer a valued customer. I opted to not get my dress altered there since the reviews are so bad. I even asked them to respond to the reviews and was basically told that it was all the brides fault. I have a hard time believing that the brides are all responsible for the bad reviews. Nobody ever called me when my dress arrived nor did they call me when my slip had arrived. Again, if you want the bridal experience, you'll get it the first time (Amber is awesome as well as Kristin and one other lady whose name starts with an A but whom I can't recall now). The manager on the other hand treated me and my friends as if I were an inconvenience. I would say that you can expect a great time the first time but don't expect much afterwards.

While I did not get my dress here, I went through their alteration shop and they did a fantastic job! They knew my budget and worked with it. They made a fantastic bustle that I loved and were all around friendly! I would definitely recommend future business!

The bridal exclusive store is great. i had a wonderful experience there. BUT the alterations component was awful. They have a sister store called finishing touch and i went there for 2 fittings and both experiences were awful. if you get your dress here potentially look for other alterations options.

The woman that helped me during my appointment, was amazing. The woman that is the manager - acts like she could care less about you, I believe her name is Brielle? I'm so glad that once you purchase the dress you never have to go back to the store. I loved my dress, and my appointment - every question past that was awful.

I agree with one of the other reviews that stated "Bridal Exclusives started out wonderful however, as time went on, I felt as if once they made the sale, I was no longer a valued customer." One time when I called to check on my bridesmaid dress order I was told the wrong information. One of my bridesmaid ordered her dress (had a confirmation since she used her VISA) and I got a call saying they were waiting on her before they could place the order. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told "we just have too many brides." The people there always seemed stressed and made you almost feel like another number. One positive note is that I really liked Patricia (the consultant who helped me find my dress). I wish I could have worked with just her through my whole dress experience.

I bought a Maggie Sottero dress from Bridal Exclusives in December 2010. The employee who helped me was very nice. I was told my dress would arrive mid-end of April 2011. It came in right at the end of May and I picked it up June 1, 2011. My wedding was July 9, 2011 so I had some time to get alterations, but it did cut it a little close. They did offer my bridesmaids a small discount on their dresses, but there was no additional discount for the bride's accessories, slip, bra, etc. which I found a little disappointing. Most places offer a discount on bride's accessories if you purchase the dress there.

They were pretty good. The initial dress selection process was the best. They pulled different styles to try on to see what was the best fit, so it was fun and a little surprising. After I purchased the dress it was a little down hill. They were very nice at the alteration place associated with the store, but they didn't seem very organized. All in all, I loved my dress but had tried it on somewhere else too. It makes me wonder if I would have enjoyed the dress experience a little more with a staff that was on the ball.

Bridal Exclusives was the second place I had went. I would recommend them to anyone for the fact that the way they have to try on dresses helps you find a style for your body way faster than just picking random dresses and hating them all over and over again because you keep trying on the same style. They had me pick a dress that caught my eye from each style and eliminate as I go the things I didn't like and choose what I did like, until I found MY dress! My overall rating is low because the entire time I was trying on dresses the associate was pushing the accessories on us. We continued to say we didn't want to pick accessories today and the associate continued to say things like, "one of our employees got married and realized her accessories didn't match, you should try them on now so you don't hate your pictures" Which didn't make me smile at all, trying to guilt me into buying very OVERPRICED veils and headpieces. Once you buy your dress, you are done dealing with Bridal Exclusives, all the alterations are done by Finishing Touches. They are the most disorganized place I have ever been. My first appointment I showed up and they put me in a room and told me to get ready. 20 minutes later I was standing in the mirror with another bride while the seamstress worked on the other bride's dress. Not that big of a deal, but why did I make an appointment? The seamstress was really nice and it was a quick job of getting my hem and all the details worked out. I went to the front to schedule a return, and she was talking about 2 weeks out, and asked when I wanted it done, I told her I would give them plenty of time and gave them a month before I would be back to try on my dress. Come the day before my appointment, may I remind you it was a MONTH later, I get a call to reschedule because my dress wasn't done because the seamstress was out sick. I rescheduled for the following week, but got no apology whatsoever, which I expected as a professional place a "I'm sorry" wouldn't be too tough. When I finally did try my dress on it was great and I took it with me with the expectation to bring it back the week before the wedding to have it steamed. I brought it back of course and 2 days before the wedding I have to go and pick my dress back up. When I got there, there was a bride ahead of me, and after about 5 minutes I was next. While I was waiting for them to pull my dress another 2 brides came in, one for a fitting and one to pick up her dress as well. The employee had looked for my dress for about 5 minutes before she had to come get me to find my dress. They had to grab all 3 brides to pick their dresses because they couldn't find them in the chaos of organization they have. There were dresses hanging everywhere in no particular order, even in the front of the store window as a last ditch place to hang dresses. Either way, I got my dress and they wrapped it up. The bride that came in for her fitting was being helped by one employee, while the bride who came in after me was being helped by another. I sat there waiting to take my dress for 15 minutes, that the services were already pre-paid for. The bride who came in AFTER me was helped through completion of finding her dress, checking something on the dress, wrapping it up, and paying, while I sat there. I'm a pretty laid back person and usually don't have a problem with waiting, but with the disorganization it really irritated me that my waiting my needless. What should have taken about 15 minutes total took us about 35 minutes!

My consultant Shannon was fantastic. I came in after tracking down a particular Justin Alexander dress they had stocked in a plus size (the only store in the city to have it, FYI) and even though it was not The Dress, I did find one that was! I had previously purchased a dress from that nasty national chain with bad customer service (you know who you are!) and Shannon finally provided me with the experience I had always wanted. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.
