The chocolate and raspberry filling were delicious. I also had an intersting shade of green that they were able to match perfectly!!!

My family has been going to Helen Bernhard's Bakery since way before I was born--so choosing a bakery was an easy choice. That being said--the cake was AMAZING! It looked beautiful and tasted even better. I will say that the cake tasting was good but didn't blow me away; however, the actual wedding cake tasted fantastic (and I'm not even a huge dessert person). It's such a great place-everyone was friendly and helpful (without being pushy). All of our guest commented on how delicious the cake was (and beautiful).

They have books and books full of beautiful cake designs, all with customizable options. Go in to the bakery for a taste test, you won't regret it. They make everything from scratch with fresh ingredients and you can REALLY TELL! I don't like cake, but I LOVED their cake. They will also make you a miniature version of your wedding cake for your 1-year anniversary for 10% of the cost of your wedding cake. I can't wait! I wish I had gotten a chance to eat more than one piece of the cake at the reception, it was amazing-melt in your mouth velvety goodness. And the prices: so reasonable and very straightforward!

My husband and I were very pleased with our wedding cake from Helen Bernhard's. We ordered the pink champagne with strawberry filling and it tasted wonderful -- we received lots of good reviews. Best of all, their dainty and intricate design matched our wedding perfectly. We topped our ivory wedding cake with a lovely Belleek topper also in ivory. Then, for a pop of color, we had our florist finish it off with flowers in our wedding colors. For our first anniversary, we even received a coupon for a reduced price on an exact duplicate of the top layer of our wedding cake (we still ate the original which was frozen, but a nice fresh cake was wonderful to have). We would highly recommend them.

We heard about Helen Bernhard's from our friends who had recently got married. We made an appointment after doing some comparison shopping. No one had a better value for the budget. During our appointment, we got to try a number of different samples until we found just the right one. There are TONS of different flavors of cake and frostings to choose from. They have a number of photographs of REAL cakes to choose from and even allowed us to bring in photos from other bakeries to use on our design. The woman who helped us was so willing to do anything to make us happy. She was very helpful and made us feel completely at home. We were blown away by the value for our budget. They only asked for a $10 deposit and the price was $150 cheaper than any other bakery we went to in town! Plus, they deliver for free!!! When we saw the final product at the reception, we knew we picked the best in town! It was gorgeous and looked even better than the picture! They also gave us a certificate to come in and purchase a replica 8" cake for our 1st annivesary. I'd highly recommend Helen Bernhard's to anyone and everyone!

They executed the design of our cake beautifully All the flavors of the cake were so good it was hard to choose. The end result was the best wedding cake I have ever tasted!

I loved the way you can go in and they give you all sorts of different types of cake to taste, and it makes it so hard to decide because they are all so good. Our cake was delicious and delivered on time with no problems. We were also able to get a topper for our one year anniversary.

My cake was exactly what I pictured. It was so beautiful and very delicious!!! The only this is I had an outdoor wedding on an 80 degree day and really did want my cake delivered earlier that 3pm and they delivered it about 2pm. But I would still highly recommend Helen Bernhard!!!!

Yum. Best cake, by far. Not only that, they were my Great-Aunt's favorite way back when she got married (in the 1940s or something)! The cake was lovely, the service was good (only one of the ladies on the phone was a bit grumpy, that is why I didn't give them top stars in Quality of Service) and after I ordered the cake and set up the drop-off date and time, that was the last I had to worry about it! Checking things off the list is a bride's favorite activity. They were great and the cake was yummy. Good pick!

Our cake was great! while we only got to eat our bite we feed each other at the reception, that bite was amazing! My parents had used them for their wedding and when we went to order our cake we could see why. They had huge books filled with ideas, and they were very helpful with mixing and matching ideas from different cakes to help make out unique and beautiful.

I love Helen Bernhard's - and I get all my cakes there. I ordered my wedding cake, and over a hundred cupcakes for my wedding. The cake turned out beautifully, unfortunately the cupcake look was not quite what I had wanted. However, they still looked beautiful and tasted great at my wedding. If there had been more time, they would have redone the cupcakes - however the pick up was the day before the wedding, a Saturday, and they are closed on Sundays. Everything tasted amazing - as usual. I would definitely recommend them, but make sure to see a sample of what you want if you order cupcakes!

We tried many cakes and went with Helen Bernhard bakery for the quality cake they provided at good value. Our cake was exactly as ordered and delivered on time. They matched our color for the decoration. We had very simple decoration, enhanced by fresh flowers from our florist.While my husband and I didn't get to eat a piece of cake until the next day, our guests enjoyed the different cake flavors, and even non-frosting lovers liked the buttercream frosting.

After having our original vendor bail on us, and sampling another three vendors, we ended up at Helen Bernhard's after talking to a friend about where she got her wedding cake.Helen Bernhard's isn't a design shop that decided to take on cakes, but rather a classic bakery that has been around for forever that makes some of the most delicious cakes you will ever taste. And they don't look bad at all either!

Helen Bernhard's Bakery made an amazing cake for our wedding! We were very impressive with their service and their timeliness. It was a little expensive, but worth it!

We have used this bakery for years for birthdays and special occassions, so it only seeemed fitting that we would use them for our wedding, and we weren't disappointed in the least. Always the freshest and best tasting cakes in town.

I loved this bakery! The cake was amazing and i had one less big worry with going to Helen Bernhards. They delievered my cake right on time and it was perfect!

Cake was at the reception before I even got to the ballroom and looked perfect!

Although the cake tasting went very well and all the flavors are amazing!!! The cake wasn't what we had ordered. It looked right on the outside, but when we cut into it all the filling flavors were the same and they were supposed to be 4 different flavors... a little disappointing.
