McMenamins Edgefield

Edgefield was the far best venue for affordability, atmosphere, quality of food and variety. Most guests commented on how excited they were to finally go to a wedding at Edgefield! Staff was over the top! I didn't have a single thing to worry about on my big day! Kara was on top of everything and always 2 steps ahead of me! Thank you everyone! Edgefield is absolutly gorgeous!! We were supposed to get married in the Administraters Side Yard. But two days before our wedding it rained and rained. The forcast was rain throughout the week. My wedding coordinater was great! She moved us to Blackberry Hall (which happened to be out first choice and it was available). Our rooms and the grounds were so beautiful and relaxing. We will be coming back just to stay or for a lunch date! The Black Rabbit catered and was so yummy!

We had a lot of people coming in from out of town and the ENTIRE staff at Edgefield did everything to make us feel at home. Colleen and her team were there every step of the way for us and having planned the wedding from Ohio - I needed all the support. I could ask for opinions and I got candid, honest responses. The food was great and so was the service!There honestly wasn't one thing that we could or would have asked for more than we kindly received from the staff.

McMenamins Edgefield was an outstanding venue for our wedding ceremony/reception. Colleen was a model of professionalism in helping our vision of a perfect wedding day come to fruition. The location is just spectacular for everyone involved, from locals who travelled from Portland to out of town guests who travelled across the country. There is so much to do on the site. Blackberry Hall was perfect for our reception of 120 guests. Our guests enjoyed the rooms, food, decor, The Soaking Pool, Lucky Staehlys Pool Hall, The Distillery, and the many other cool locations.

I found that the event coordination staff was very responsive. I did all the wedding planning myself, and because the McMenamins locations host a number of events all the time, the coordinator is really experienced and was very helpful in providing information and helping me with "what other people have done and has worked well..." type information. This helped a lot moving through the process. Having someone who was such a good contact also helped with having a point person who could answer questions. The service was excellent, the hospitality was great. They do not do much with direction at the actual event, but they help with a lot of steps along the way. The cost was really good for what we got. We compared it to other options, and were very happy with the per person cost.

Mcmenamins Edgefield was the perfect place for my wedding! The staff was excellent, very flexible and easy to work with. The prices are really reasonable and they have a variety of choices.

I only had my reception at McMenamin's Edgefield, my ceremony was held off-site. Overall I was soooo happy with my service and planning with Edgefield. My events coordinator was Tiffany Yasui. She was amazing! She was always available for me and very flexible, able to change anything for me when I had even last minute changes the day before! The wait staff are bartenders were cheerful, personable, and fast :) The only negative thing I heard from anyone that was involved in my reception was from my wedding planner. The folks that were supposed to set up tables were not as helpful as she would've liked/needed. She said when she asked for tables to be set up that had not been they told her that they didn't need to be set up until right before. She had a conversation with Tiffany who immediately resolved the issue.I never even noticed, nor did my guests. Everyone had a wonderful time and the venue is so gorgeous and neat. I very highly recommend Edgefield to every bride!

My husband and I loved having our wedding and reception at Edgefield. Since our first date was at a McMenamins, it only made sense to have our wedding at one too! Tiffany and the other event staff were great! We couldn't have asked for better, even the weather cooperated. I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to hold their wedding, consider McMenamins. Having our ceremony and reception at Edgefield saved us a lot of stress. The in-house catering, set up, and tear-down made it fantastically easy to enjoy our day without stressing out!

McMenamins is the way to go! You save so much money with any of their venues because each one has a minimum food and beverage price. Once you reach this amount, the cost of the actual venue is waived. Bar service, all staff, linens, tables, chairs, dishes and silverware are all included as well. Plus, you have an amazing "resort style" location where friends and family can stay the entire weekend. Our wedding wasn't just a ceremony and reception, but an entire weekend we spent with loved ones. Ruby's Spa and soaking pool was incredible, too!

The food is AMAZING! My guests are still talking about how great the food and drink was. My ceremony was in the Meadow and our reception was in the Blackberry Hall. Everything was set up perfectly and was more beautiful then I could ever imagine. All of my guests said that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been too. I also had my and all my bridesmaids hair and makeup done at Rubys Spa which also did a great job. Really have no complaints, but it is expensive... but worth the cost!

We rented the attic space and it was beautiful. The coordinator was exceptionally helpful and never seemed annoyed with my constant emails and questions. The food was AMAZING. One of the servers noticed I wasn't eating one of the salads, (I was pregnant and avoiding soft cheese) so she made me a special salad. The spa was great, but not included in the package price. I'd definitely recommend a trial run with hair and makeup first. I loved everything!

Our ceremony and reception took place in the Amphitheater, which is an outside venue close to the hotel. We were impressed with how knowledgeable the event planner was and how helpful she was in answering any of my questions since I was planning the wedding myself. The food was great, we got tons of compliments on the food and the wait staff. The waitstaff even complimented us on how great our wedding was and how nice all the guests were! Our only complaints were that for the bar you could actually get cheaper and larger drinks by walking inside the hotel and to any of the many bars they have open. The second was that the hotel itself was very noisy and even on the third floor (the honeymoon suite) my husband and I were awoken numerous times to the people next door or a loud shouting match in the front of the hotel. Great place to hold a wedding, but not to stay (which is a requirement of booking with them). Also, they are filled up at least a year in advance for all 4 - 5 of their wedding spaces.

McMenamins Edgefield is BEAUTIFUL, no question about that. The grounds were perfect for our somewhat "destination" wedding. Ryan have only lived in Oregon for abuot 2 years, so when we decided to get married here, we knew the majority of our quests would be out of towners. We couldn't have picked a better location for our needs. The Edgefield is such an entertaining spot that it keeps your guests busy for a long weekend, or even just the day. The sprawling grounds, winery, distilery, brewery, movie theaters, spa, golf course, pool and many many other amenities left us us worry-free that our guests wouldn't need to have the hands held all weekend. We were able to relax and not worry too much about playing host, while we wrapped up the final details just days before the wedding. The reviews from our guests were also high. They were so happy the venue. It was like one stop shopping. Staff was very friendly, our coordinator wasn't "hands-off" but there was not very much hand-holding during our planing process. If you are looking for someone to talk to each week and plan details, you should think about getting a wedding planner. The Edgefield provides space and food, but thats about it. You will have to use outside vendors for all other services. Overall we were very pleased with the experience, but we were also going for a low-key themed wedding.

We had our wedding on a Tuesday in the summer, which worked for us since so many guests are in the education system and have summers off. The food and beverage minimum was cheaper that way, and we were able to book it closer to the date. We felt like Jaclyn really took care of a lot of details we wouldn't have thought of, since we haven't been to very many weddings. We obviously did a lot of work ourselves, but as far as scheduling and timing and asking all the right questions, she was efficient and easy to work with. They are not at all flexible about the rules of no outside noise after 10pm, and only serving alcohol for 5 hours. (i think they added on an extra 15 minutes). There were things we requested that weren't done, but it wasn't that big of a deal. It works GREAT to have guests stay there and play with everything Edgefield has to offer. Our guests LOVED IT. Especially the soaking pool. The Blackberry meadow is absolutely gorgeous and has tons of flowers in the summer, which we didn't realize would happen since we checked it out and booked it in the early spring. I would totally recommend it!

Everything was wonderful! Book early for the date and time you want, that was our only issue. It was great to have an all inclusive place for everyone to enjoy :)

Colleen is awesome! Just wish she was working the day of our wedding, which could have avoided some hiccups we had, such as asking for an extension or and only recieving a 3 ft one and told that is all they had. :-( Really? Overall the hotel and staff are friendly for the most part, all places had a few sour apples and I felt we had them as our servers and bartender. Would I come back! Of course, gorgeous venue, and it has a special place in my heart since I meet my husband at a wedding there.

we were overal happy with edgefield for our ceremony as well as hotel block. we would have liked to have a vegan cookie option, but we heard good reviews from the non vegans on the food. the space was set up as we requested and the grounds made for great photos!

Jaclyn was helpful and fairly easy to contact, once I made it clear to her that if I asked a question via email that I wanted an email response back and not a succession of voice messages.Their set-up staff isn't real enthusiastic. You have to ask and ask again to get what you need (ladder, easel, etc) even if it was part of your contract. For the ceremony, the chairs were set up early and that was about all we needed. The sun was right in my eyes but the guests seemed comfortable. There was also a motorcycle revving up right behind us during our vows but a friend ran over and shooed it away.My friends and relatives pulled together and made the reception space look great. We brought some of our own wine ($10 corkage per bottle)and recommend doing that. Our guests drank a lot and it seems that everyone had an awesome time. Our main bartender, Joel, was really helpful and attentive during the reception. Another let down was that we had a lot of leftover food which they said in advance would be packed up for us and stored over night, but it disappeared. We spent an hour the next morning waiting for the front desk, caterers, etc to track it down. No luck. I was really looking forward to those leftovers since we had to go right back to work Monday.

Food was great and day-of service was great too! I had a little trouble working with my event coordinator in that she would not do things she said she would do, BUT she is not there anymore, and everyone else was great!
