Like most couples getting a videographer was last on our list given the fact I don't ever see myself looking good in a video and my husband feels the same way. However, I still did my research and Solstice Video was the one website that I kept coming back to due to its reviews. I wanted somebody who is good in capturing my wedding in the most artistic way.I dealt with Greg over the phone and emails. He made it so easy for me to hire him with his very positive attitude and professionalism. True to his promise, his video captured the details of my wedding and more. My husband and I watched it so many times in 2 days and we still can't get enough of it. He edited the video with great music so well that it made my parents and myself cry so many times. We get calls from friends and family who saw the video telling us how wonderful our wedding was and how well the video was done.I have awesome pictures but getting a great video from Solstice for your wedding is totally different and it is definitely worth it.

Greg (the videographer) what so flexible with us, always kept up with emails and phone calls. He was quick with getting the video back to us and not only did we get it back fast, it was great! I was just perfect. He did such a great job! I'm so happy with the result. Not only that but we trusted him with the music choice over our video and he did an amazing job picking out the music. We basically told him what styles we liked and he went from there! He did such an amazing job and he's such a great guy on top of it. Greg, from Solstice Video, did an amazing job with our wedding video! It does everything a good wedding video should do; it effectively captures the day of the wedding and all of its emotions so that you are transported right back to that day everytime you watch it. It makes for a few tears and some laughs everytime we, our family, or our friends watch it. Friends that have their own wedding videos have even commented on how professional and classy our video is. Greg said he would make changes if we didn't like something, but I wouldn't change a thing!We chose Solstice video because we liked the mix of comments and music used in past videos. In the videos I viewed from other wedding videographers often the ceremony and toasts were the only things captured with audio. Greg thoughtfully interspersed meaningful little comments and conversations from the day throughout the video. In addition, he has an eye for catching the little moments without you even knowing; one of my favorites is a shot of me holding hands with our flower girl and ring bearer while we walk to the car. He has the ability to add a number of effects through the editing process, but he was very good at listening to us and using the ones that we liked best and the ones that would complement our style. His use of the old style video format and slow and fast motion were perfect; at one point he even momentarily stopped the film with the word "stop" in one of the songs. We have received many compliments on his song selections, and some of our friends have joked that they want the soundtrack. In addition, Greg also went the extra mile to make an effort to get the footage we wanted, including setting up a camera at the venue to get time lapse footage of everyone entering the reception.Anyone hiring a videographer should know that it is critical that he/she be able to work easily with your photographer. Greg worked seamlessly with our photographer, David Barss, and he even used some of David's still images in the video. By doing so he created an entirely new style that I hadn't seen in any wedding video, including his samples! It is truly amazing!Now that I have seen our video, I can honestly say that I would have given up many of those supposed "wedding requirements" to have this video. We will definitely treasure this for years to come. If you are on the fence about hiring a videographer and the extra cost, sacrifice something else and get the video; it is one of the only things that you will have left after it is all over, and Greg is so flexible and easy to work with that you won't regret it.

Going into our wedding my husband was unsure if he even wanted a videographer. He thought pictures would be good enough and that he could put them together into a "video" himself. I was given Greg's name and number from another videographer that had moved out of our state. I also checked out several other videographer's websites. We met with Greg in his studio and he told us about his experience and then showed us a video he had done for another couple. Now you think of wedding videos as a great keepsake but most people are only interested in watching it once (and lets be honest, usually just the bride and groom (or even just the bride) really get into it.) Well I have to say we did not know the bride or groom in the video but were enthralled by their story. Greg really knows how to create an enjoyable story of not only your wedding, but your life together as a couple. It is definitely a video you will want to watch over and over. In my husbands words "I was blown away by his presentation." We did not even bother meeting with any other videographers, we knew Greg was our guy. We highly recommend Greg James to create your wedding masterpiece. He was super professional and just a nice guy. He is a die hard Ducks fan and he missed the civil war to help make our day magical! My wife and I researched so many videographers and I Solstice stood out to us. I have to say I whole heartedly give them 2 thumbs up (I wish I had more thumbs!!) To say we absolutely love it would be an understatement. We are thrilled with the shots and emotion that Greg was able to capture throughout the day… many that we had already forgotten about or missed entirely with all the emotion of the moment. He told our story perfectly! Looking back, we can’t believe we ever considered not having a videographer, especially one as talented as Greg. We just received our finished, edited wedding DVD back from Greg at Solstice Video and we absolutely love it! What a magic way to re-live our special day. I was the one that really wanted a videographer and had to negotiate it with my husband for two months prior to booking Solstice...My husband thought it was a waste of money since we already had a photographer and he could not imagine watching a video of our wedding over and over again. Well, now he is so happy we did it when he saw the finished product which captured the highlights of our day in such a beautiful, wonderful way. After watching the DVD for the first time, my husband was so impressed that he said "You know what, I don't think we need to order a wedding album as that was so good and captured all the great moments better than our photographer did!" Needless to say I am getting both, but it just shows you what a great job Greg did as he converted my husband to the DVD once he saw it! My husband has not even complained about watching it multiple times in the past two weeks with our family and friends.Greg was very easy to work with and answered all my questions quickly and easily. He was prompt and listened to what I envisioned for the day and he captured exactly what I had hoped he would capture of our family and friends and my husband and I. While doing research for Videographers, I was immediately impressed with Greg's editing style. He just does not disappoint. He takes hours and hours of footage and highlights the most important special moments in 40 minutes set to great music choices. Just outstanding work... Spend the money! Trust me...worth every dollar. This will be a keepsake for our current family and my coming child (we are expecting) for decades.

Having seen their work before, we we're delighted that they were available to do our son's wedding, even coming to Spokane. They were able to capture the true feel of the wedding, and all the activities before the ceremony as well as the reception! I would HIGHLY recommend them again and again!

We were concerned from the start that although we loved all of the videos that we viewed by Solstice, we did not want to spend our wedding day talking to the camera. Greg was willing to modify his style to fit our needs... and what a perfect video! After receiving the final product, Greg was even willing to edit out an obnoxious guest posing as a great friend. I would wholeheartedly recommend Solstice to any bride looking for a video of superior quality as well as lifelong preservation of an amazing day that flies by in an instant.

We were not going to get a videographer but decided to last minute that it would probably be a good idea. We found Solstice Video about a week before our wedding and after reading great reviews we decided to book them for our wedding videographer. When he was shooting the video he was not in our face or made anyone of our guests feel uncomfortable, instead he made us all laugh as our friends told stories about how we met. We were able to pick the music we wanted in our video which added an extra personal touch, and we got our video fairly quickly. We just received our video and we can't say enough just how much we love it!! We are SO extremely happy that we decided to hire a videographer and that we chose Solstice. It was worth every penny times 10! We are so impressed at how well the video turned out and are so happy that we have this amazing video to remember our wedding day for the rest of time!! I have no complaints about Solstice and would highly recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!!

I loved working with Greg at Solstice! I initially was interested in him for my wedding videography after seeing a friends wedding dvd that blew the competition out of the water. After meeting with Greg I was so comfortable and excited about choosing him. He was very professional, and helped me figure out my timeline and a billion other things I hadn't yet thought of. As far as the actual day went...it couldn't be better. He was very fun to work with and captured everything. I would tell anyone planning a wedding in the NW...I've already done the research for you, go with Solstice. : )

Greg is the best!! He was fantastic to work with and our video is better than we ever could have imagined! He and the photographer worked in amazing harmony that just made the day so, so easy! Just when we thought we couldn't possibly smile anymore (our cheeks hurt!), he had us laughing and forgetting about the pain. He captured so many sweet moments that I think most people might have overlooked. We gave him a list of the songs we had provided to the DJ and he used them throughout the video just perfectly! He's brilliant!! We could not have asked for a better videographer and we're just so thrilled that he was actually available at the very last minute. It's a decision we will never regret! I really had to push my parents and husband to consider a videographer for the wedding. I watched a lot of videos online and met with a lot of people, but as soon as I saw Greg's work I knew that he was the one for the job. I brought Kyle to meet him and watch examples of his work and Kyle was shown the value of capturing such a special day in a video that we will have forever. Kyle's favorite part of Solstice was that Greg is so easy to work with. Kyle was very worried about having a camera around him all day and throughout the wedding but Greg is so personable and friendly that you almost forget that he even has a camera. He is just like a cheerleader that follows you around on your wedding day. I loved it! We filmed our Love Story and showed it at the wedding and everyone loved it! People were so impressed, thinking that we were going to show the typical picture slide show and instead had something so much more. We loved Greg and his video talent that he brings to wedding videography gives him such a great edge. His final product isn't just video footage to music, it captures every detail of our day and our story.

Greg was great to work with! All of our family loves the wedding video. My husband loves it, too. We've gotten a lot of great feedback.Maybe I am just too picky but I am not 100% satisfied with it. I felt that his job was to make us look our best but I am really not happy with how I'm portrayed in the film. There are a few comments I made that he included in the video that I'm actually uncomfortable with. In addition to the comments, I also felt like his angles during our ceremony were really unflattering. It is as if his camera was looking up at my chin, making me look fat and like I have a double chin. It is not a good angle at all!Bottom line - I wish we could have seen a draft before we were given our final cut. I would have been able to easily identify the things I don't like and also say, "Hey! That's too much of us spinning around in the grass. Let's get a little more of a documentary going..." I don't know whether or not it is worth it to request a revision, or if I just need to let it go. I'm going to think about it a little bit more...I do recommend working with Solstice Video Productions, I just also advise that you are very specific about what you want from your wedding video before the big day.

We are so thankful to have been able to work with Greg and Solstice Video. Greg was wonderful to work with and very talented! Greg has an amazing ability to capture the essence of the couple he is filming to create a masterpiece. He was able to spend some time with us getting to know our personalities and produced an incredible video that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I am so glad that we decided to hire a professional videographer like solstice video productions for our wedding! It was well worth the money and I would recommend solstice to any bride-to-be.
